A. ONE DATA
One Data is an Indonesian government initiative to encourage data-based policy making. To realize this, it is necessary to fulfill government data that is accurate, open and interoperable. One Data has three main principles namely, one data standard, one standard metadata, and one data portal. Thus, the use of government data is not only limited to internal use between agencies, but also as a form of meeting public data needs for the community.
Through the One Data initiative, the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) together with the Ministry of National Development Planning (PPN) / Bappenas and supported by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) make full efforts to reform the Indonesian government data. One Data uses the principle of open data in releasing data. Data is available in an open format that is easy to reuse, with the aim of increasing government transparency and accountability, as well as increasing community participation in overseeing development. Data.go.id is the official portal of Satu Data Indonesia as a form of operationalization of the release and utilization of open data, which is not limited to ministries, institutions, or regional governments, but also all other agencies that produce data related to Indonesia.
B. Open Data
Open data is data that can be used freely, utilized, and redistributed by anyone without conditions, except by quoting the source and owner of the data. In addition, all published data must follow the applicable laws and regulations. Important criteria for open data are:
Availability and access: Data must be available intact and free of charge. It would be better if the data can be downloaded via the internet. Data must also be available in a form that is easy to use and can be reprocessed.
Use and distribution: Data used and redistributed must meet specified conditions.
Open to the public: Everyone is free to use and redistribute the dataset. No discrimination is permitted for the field of business, person or group.
Published in accordance with applicable regulations. Referring to Law Number 14 Year 2008 regarding Openness of Public Information, there are types of data that are excluded and may not be released.
